Description:
When the term mindfulness is used it is most often associated with stillness, but it is so
much more. Mindfulness is about being present in the moment and being consciously
aware of sensations in your body and your surroundings. In this yoga class you will
explore mindfulness through exploring yoga postures and sequences, as you connect
breath with movement. During the class, the instructor will invite you to bring specific
attention to breath and body sensations. This will encourage a shift in focus from
thoughts to a felt sense.
No yoga experience needed.

Description:
This is a 60 minute yoga class, focusing on breathing techniques and yoga postures
that work with the nervous system in a way that increases self-regulation. We work to
stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system to promote rest in the body. Which then
decreases stress in both the body and mind. This class is taught through the
framework of trauma informed yoga. This means that we will focus on creating a safe
space for each individual to explore a mind/body connection.
No previous yoga experience required.
