Meet Our Teachers
Veronica Tovar – RYT 200, LCSW
In 2015, I tried yoga for the first time simply because it was the one “exercise” I could do barefoot. I quickly learned that yoga wasn’t simply an “exercise” but a lifelong practice that cultivates the mind, body, and soul. Practicing yoga has helped me create a body/mind connection that I had never before experienced. It has also increased my ability to cope with daily life and work stress. My experiences as both a yogi and a social worker, inspired me to become a yoga instructor. Since I became a yoga instructor, I have received specialized certifications in trauma informed yoga and children’s yoga. I hope to have the opportunity to share my love of yoga with you.
Stephannie Schmidt – RYT 200
I started teaching yoga after getting into a car crash. After several months of trying to heal I found yoga. Yoga is what brought me back to life. After my experience, I knew I wanted to help others heal and became a yoga teacher. I enjoy teaching the softer yoga practices as this allows individuals to slow down and be present. I teach various kinds of yoga including: Restorative, Yin, Hatha, Vinyasa, Hiit Flow, Pre-natal. I am certified in Trauma Informed Yoga. I love teaching unique events and private sessions. I always try to bring laughter and joy into the practice.
Sharon Taporco – E-RYT 200
I am a certified 200 hour Experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher and a certified BUTI Yoga Instructor. I am attending college and on the path to become a physical therapist. As a yoga teacher I like to bring physical awareness through movement, alignment and engagement. With intentional, mindful movement I hope students may find their strength, feel connected and grounded.
